SPRING BLISS

Spring is almost here. It’s my favorite time of year. Most people love fall, but I am definitely a spring chicken. When I saw Urban Chiks Cheeky fabric, I fell in love. I had to make a quilt ASAP. I named her Spring Bliss.

Here are some detailed quilting pictures. I used Aurifil 50wt cotton thread and Fil-Tec Magna Bobbins in the bobbin. I doubled my batting with Quilter’s Dream wool and Quilter’s Dream 80/20. I also used my wonderful Handi Quilter Infinity for all the beautiful freemotion quilting.

I did a lot of quilting on this quilt but it would also be beautiful with an all over pantograph. If you would like to make this quilt, it is for sale in my Etsy shop. It is Fat Eighth friendly.

My Duck Quilt

I had so much fun making this duck quilt. Its a free pattern on Tildasworld.com. The pattern calls for 8” blocks. I wanted more quilting space, so I recalculated the blocks to make 12” blocks. I love how it turned out.

I used Tilda’s, Bird Pond, Fabric. I also doubled the batting to give the quilting more texture. I used Quilters Dream Wool, and Quilters Dream 80/20 batting. I also used Aurifil, 2021, 100% cotton thread. For the bobbin, I used Hab + Dash Magna Bobbins.

I always love the back of a quilt. Sometimes it is just as amazing as the front.

When I saw this quilt for the first time I had to make it, because I love my ducks. They are the sweetest things ever. Hoping to get more ducks this spring.
